Before You Install

Before you can install CS Web Admin, do the following in the order shown:
  1. Install IDM Desktop 3.1 or Panagon Web 3.1 onto the PC where you intend to install CS Admin Tools.
    Note It is recommended that you do not install CS Web Admin on the CS Server.
  2. Apply IDM Software Patch IDMDT 3.1.0-012 or later. Check the patch readme to verify that CS 5.2.x support is mentioned. When you apply the patch, enter database client information (as documented in the patch readme) for each CS 5.2.x database server you want to access.
    Note For Oracle databases, library names are case-sensitive.
  3. Reboot.
  4. Run IDM Configure and add the CS Libraries running on the database server you specified in Step 2.
  5. Verify that you can log on to a configured library using IDM Desktop on the PC where you want to install and run CS Web Admin.

Installation Procedure

Note You must be logged in as an Administrator to perform the installation.

To install CS Web Admin :

  1. Verify the system requirements listed above and be sure to complete the steps in the "Before You Install" topic.
  2. Use one of the following methods to run the Setup program from the Panagon CS Admin Tools CD:
  3. To run the Web-based System Administration Tools go to: http:\\<server name>\cswebadmin. This path can be set by the administrator during the installation. Consequently, it may be different than the example shown here.

Uninstalling CS Web Admin

  1. Go to: Start\Settings\Control Panel\"Add/Remove Programs" or run Setup again.
  2. Select FileNET Content Services Web Admin.
  3. Click Remove.
